More Than `Pretty Picture'

Two houses side by side in the 4100 block of Kensington Avenue appear to be undergoing renovations. But only the house at 4117 is a renovation project. The house at 4119 is new, designed to look like the 1950s homes that line the street.

"I have people ask what is new and what is old or original, or they say that they do not remember there being a house here, thinking that this is being renovated," said C. S. Brent Winn, Jr., of Gunston Restoration & Construction, LC, the contractor on both Kensington Avenue houses.
